Recording King "Madison" RK-R25 Resonator

Recording King RK-R25 Recording King banjos were designed by Greg Rich (formerly of Gibson and later of Rich and Taylor) to be a high quality instrument made in China. The historic name "Recording King" was chosen for these banjos.

The RK-R25 Madison features a simple design with a handsome fan inlay motif (or maybe it's a shell. Or a ginko leaf...). The resonator version has a tube and plate flange design. There is also an open back model (RK-O25) using bracket shoes, and having a simple dot inlay pattern. The three-ply maple rim is quite light, making this banjo quite comfortable to play. The top edge of the rim is shaped much like a flathead tone ring, and produces a clear, bright tone.

List price for the resonator RK-R25 model is $659, but please call or email info@zeppmusic.com for our prices. Temporarily Out of Stock

RK-R25 back The RK-R25s are maple banjos featuring a satin finish.
RK-R25 top The maple neck has a satin finish, and a very comfortable profile.
RK-R25 peghead The peghead has a simple shape; the RK-R25, resonator model has a handsome fan inlay.           RK-R25 tuners The RK-R25 tuners are planetaries for the "long" strings, and a worm and pinion-geared 5th string.
RK-R25 inlay The rosewood fingerboard of the resonator model, the RK-R25, has a fan inlay pattern and features a bone nut.           RK-R25 head This model comes set up with a Presto style tailpiece, a Remo head, and a large armrest.
RK-R25 heel The RK-R25 model has a tube and plate flange, so it can be easily converted to an open back. (Of course, the RK-O25 is already an openback model with bracket shoes.)           RK-R25 inlay The RK-R25's maple resonator has lots of grain showing through its satin finish.
